1. Phelps Mill Festival
One of the summer’s highlights is the 39th annual Phelps Mill Festival on July 8 and 9 from 8 a.m. onward, 11 miles away in Underwood at 29035 Country Highway 45. This year the festival provides two whole full days of top-notch entertainment, plenty of activities and art projects for the kiddos, and great music, including Deja Vu – A Tribute to Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young.
Browse the art and craft stalls, eat delicious festival food, taste wine, and sample local craft beer. Just take it easy, don’t drink if you’re underage, and if you’re going to have a few, please be responsible and don’t drive.
2. Move ‘n Groove
Join the annual Move ‘n Groove festivities on July 13 between 4 and 9 p.m. in downtown Fergus Falls to support the local businesses and vendors and have a blast at the same time. The exciting gathering celebrates the town’s local food, art, music, and industries. Stroll along the sidewalk to check out all the great sales and attend the tradeshow to learn more about local businesses’ fantastic products and services.
Drop by the market to chat with friendly vendors and listen to music from talented local musicians. If you go on the scavenger hunt at participating stores, you can stand a chance to win over $1,000 in prizes and gift cards!
3. West Otter Tail County Fair
People come from miles around to attend the annual West Otter Tail County Fair at 1812 Pebble Lake Road in Fergus Falls. This year the fair kicks off on July 19 and will continue to provide loads of fun and entertainment until the 22nd.
There’s always loads of family-friendly free entertainment daily, thrilling carnival rides, games, a kids’ pedal pull, and of course, plenty of tasty fair food. Don’t miss the exciting Grandstand events, including Touch a Truck, Demo Derby, Bulls and Barrels, and Rodeo Night.
4. The 2023 Pebble Lake Youth Triathlon
On Friday, July 28, it is the popular Pebble Lake Youth Triathlon’s 9th annual event on Pebble Lake Beach at 2300 Pebble Lake Golf Drive in Fergus Falls. Bring your lawn chair and cheer on the 7 to 12-year-olds participating on the short course and the 13 to 15-year-old athletes on the longer, more challenging course.
Even parents can test their stamina on the adult super sprint triathlon. There are rewards for the top three male and female contestants in each age group, and all participants will receive a finisher medal.
Have plenty of fun this summer, joining all the excitement around town. While having a ball, swing by Minnesota Motor Company and take a brand-new Chevy or Buick for a test drive.
