2023 Chevrolet Blazer
The Chevrolet Blazer is a mid-size SUV with two rows of seats and a bold exterior look. For the 2023 model year, the Blazer receives a small refresh with updated designs for the front and rear ends, new wheel styles, and some new paint options. Also new for 2023, a 10-inch touch screen is now standard, and wireless charging is available for any model.
Trim Levels (Exterior)
The entry-level Blazer is the 2LT. It comes with 18-inch alloy wheels, all-season tires, heated side exterior mirrors, active aero grille shutters, and automatic headlights. Step up to the 3LT for a power liftgate, auto-dimming side mirrors, and roof rails. The RS is up next in the lineup. It has 20-inch wheels, a signature RS grille, black exterior trim elements, and a programmable power liftgate. The Blazer Premier is the highest trim. It features chrome and silver exterior trim and the same features as the RS.
Engine (Power)
The base powertrain for the Blazer is a 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder gas engine that develops 228 horsepower. It uses Chevy's nine-speed automatic transmission and comes with front-wheel drive. All-wheel drive is optional for any trim. The RS gets a 3.6-liter V-6 engine with 308 horsepower, and this engine is available for the 3LT and Premier trims.
Performance
The Blazer's driving experience differs depending on which engine you have under the hood. The base powertrain has a good amount of low-end power and is ideal for driving around town. The V-6 has impressive acceleration and lots of power when you need it for passing on the highway. When equipped with the tow package, the four-cylinder can pull up to 3,250 pounds, and the V-6 can handle 4,500 pounds.
Interior
Inside, the Blazer has a sporty look and feel, much like the Camaro. There's room for five and a 30.5-foot cargo area behind the second row. Cloth upholstery comes standard with leather added to the 3LT, along with heated front seats. The RS and Premier come with a heated steering wheel and offer the Enhanced Convenience Package with ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, and driver's seat memory settings.
The Blazer now comes standard with a 10.2-inch touch screen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a USB-A port, USB-C port, a Wi-Fi hot spot, Bluetooth, and a six-speaker stereo. You'll get a 120-volt power outlet in the RS, and this trim and the Premier offer the option for wireless charging and an upgraded Bose stereo system.
Safety Features
Every 2023 Chevy Blazer comes with several advanced driver safety aids. No matter which trim you have, it will come equipped with forward collision warning with automatic braking, lane-keep assist, and lane-departure warning. The 3LT and up also get a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert, and the RS and Premier offer the Driver Confidence II Package with added features. This package comes with adaptive cruise control, a rear seat reminder, and an enhanced version of the automatic braking system that will work at higher speeds. It also has a rear camera mirror and a surround-view camera system.
